Learn to crochet or get help with your current project.

The 1st three Fridays of the month; 10:00-12:00

The last Friday of the month; 6:00-8:00

Friday Night Knitting Club!


It's FREE, it's fun ...it's on the first Friday of the month! It's a party and you are invited! Show up between 5:00 and 9:00 and bring a refreshment if you'd like. We always have a few prizes and there often are SALES! Bring your friends! You know you deserve some FUN!

Drop Spindle Class with Trulie French

Learn how to make your own yarn on a drop spindle. It is a great introduction to spinning. Trulie will show you how to use this simple tool. ($20)

Knitting workshop with Peggy


This is our most popular class! Bring your current project or start a new one. Get help as you need it. Branch out! Learn a new skill! ($20 for one session  $45 for three sessions)

Wednesdays: 10:00-12:00         or         6:00-8:00
 
Knitting 101     with Peggy

Whether you are new to knitting or just want to brush up on your skills, you can learn at your own pace in this 2.5 hour class. Most students will have the basics after 2 or 3 sessions. You can come as many times as you'd like.($20 per session)

Knitter's Loom with June Lister  

Take home a beautiful woven scarf in this five hour class! June is an experienced weaver and she will show you how to set up a knitter's loom and complete an easy and attractive scarf.

You do not have to purchase a loom to take this class ...but you might want to buy one when you see how fun, fast and easy it is to weave beautiful projects. If you have taken a weaving class before and have a loom, June will be happy to show you how you can expand on the skills you already have.

($48 includes yarn for beginner's project )

Continental Knitting with Karen


This kind of knitting is held in the left hand. It's great for lefties or those that just want to learn a new way to knit! Learn at your own speed each session is $25.

Fingerless Gloves  with Peggy   


This popular pattern called "Fetching" is quick and pretty. Learn to use double pointed needles, cable and more! two sessions ($30)

This class is great for beginners. Knit this purse in the round out of wool and shrink it in your top loading washer. You will learn some skills and get a new bag too! ($30)

Dye Your Own Yarn   with Debbie    

Come to the shop on a Sunday and have some fun dying your own yarn! You just purchase the yarn and we will provide the dyes and Debbie will show you how to color your own one-of-a-kind masterpiece! ($20) Please wear clothing that you wouldn't mind getting a stain on.

No prior experience necessary

Please leave your yarn with us, it needs to be soaked the night before.

Baby Surprise Jacket  with Peggy 

Take the mystery out of this delightful pattern! Designed by Elizabeth Zimmerman, it looks like a whole lot of nothing until you finish. Peggy has a few handouts and cheat sheets to make this surprise a good one! ($45) Two sessions: the 1st one is 3 hours and the 2nd one is 2 hours.

Level: Advanced Beginner (you will use garter stitch, increase, decrease, learn to read stitches and follow a pattern)

Fixing Mistakes   with Peggy    NEW CLASS!

Let's play with our stitches! To be a good knitter you have to be able to fix mistakes. Come to this class to learn how. From the simple dropped stitch to a missing cable or lace mix-up, Peggy will show you how to fix it. HOMEWORK REQUIRED ($20)

Fair Isle Hat with Peggy


Learn to do two handed color knitting in this class. Make a hat with a snowflake pattern and follow a chart. This class has a little homework, you will start the first few rows before class so we start with the Fair Isle portion straight away. ($30)

Lace Scarf    with Peggy  


This class is a good introduction to lace knitting. Great for the beginner who wants to take the next step. Already knitting lace, but want to learn to read a chart? This class will fill the bill. You can follow along this pattern in rows or read the chart for a cute lacey scarf! ($20)

level: beginner + (you will learn to read a chart. pattern includes knit, purl, yarn over, decreases)

 "Undulating Waves" Beaded Scarf  with Peggy


This pattern was designed by the Schaefer Yarn Co. It was made popular by the Yarn Harlot and when you see it you'll want to make one too! It is a charted lace pattern with beads....you can leave the beads off ....but they look spectacular! ($45)

two sessions, one to string beads, the other to learn to knit the pattern.

Level: intermediate

(you will be reading a chart, using beads. You should already know how to knit, purl, decrease and have knit a lace pattern)

If you think you might need a bit more experience reading a chart before taking this class. Try the Lace Scarf class first.

You just have to take this class! Entrelac will make your friends think you are brilliant! It is a great technique to learn and looks spectacular. ($30)

Level Beginner ++ (you will be learning short rows, picking up stitches and reading a pattern, you should be comfortable with knit and purl )

Magic Loop   with Peggy   


This technique is great for knitting in the round on small projects like socks, sleeves and hats. You will use one long circular needle. We will make a baby hat and you will see how easy it is to add this tool to your knitting arsenal!   ($20)

Toe-Up Sock   with Peggy NEW CLASS!

Learn to cast on at the toe and work on two circular needles to make a little sock from the bottom up. Peggy will show you Judy's magic cast-on and a short row heel. She will provide size 4 needles so you can make this little sock on worsted weight yarn to make it easier.  ($30)

Beginning Sock Class with Peggy


 

Everybody is knitting socks! We will make one little sock to quickly learn the basics. We use worsted weight yarn so it is easier to get the hang of it. After you take this class we know you will want to make more! three sessions ($50)

level: beginner + (you will learn to knit on double pointed needles, short rows, increase, decrease, kitchner stitch)
