Knit For The Cure

Every year local knitters and crocheters make pink items and donate them to the Race For the Cure. These donated items are sold at the event and the proceeds benefit this worthwhile and important cause.

We at Daily Fiber Yarn Co. would like to support this worthy cause.

Our goal is to have the best Knit For the Cure effort to date!

Here is what you can do:

Knit or Crochet in PINK any quality item that can be offered for sale;

    Hats, mittens, fingerless gloves, socks, scarves ...and more!

    or

    Knit or Crochet a PINK worsted weight (washable)

    8" x 8" square

    we will collect them and join them together to make an afghan to be raffled off to raise funds for the event..

    We will need lots of squares why don't you make more than one?!

    or

      You can volunteer to:  
     
    • Sew afghan squares together
    • Sell items on the day of the Race For The Cure
    • Participate in The Race for The Cure; You can run or walk...they even have a catagory called "Sleep In For The Cure" !

For each item donated you will recieve a ticket to enter your name in a drawing for a $250 shopping spree in our store.

 

1 ticket per item donated

5 tickets for volunteering on the day of the race

5 tickets for participating in the race

5 tickets to the two people needed to sew squares together

 

We will be announcing some get-togethers to make pink items

we will notify via this web page and our email newletters

Crochet For The CureWhen you see the words Knit For The Cure ...we mean crochet too! We love our crocheters and because Knit for the Cure/Crochet For the Cure is such a mouthful we might not say it every time.
